    Had some difficulty

    Took my son and I quite some time to figure out just how to get the wifi communication working. After several failed attempts we realized we had to delete all the previous owners installed information before we could set up and communicate with my Xfinity modem. Works great now and am pleased with the results.

    worked for a day

    I was so excited to get this media player since we already have two and this one was for the living room. At first, the unit would not connect to the internet. We updated the firmware and then it connected to the internet. After enjoying the media box for one day, it was turned off and ever since then it will not connect to the internet, the unit gives both a physical and network failure. I should note that we use it as a wired device, and when we put one of our other units in is place, it performed perfectly.

    Inexpensive but not cheap! Nice little unit.

    I really like this unit after having a Micca MPlay. The wifi feature is awesome. One thing about it that I don't like so much is the title (menu) format. I wish when you picked one of the genres the others would "disappear" from the screen so it wasn't so confusing. The same thing with all the options for streaming video (I wish you could pick all the options you want to show and make the rest go away) BUT the unit is fast and the remote is easy enough so I a very satisfied with it.

    It serves its purpose.

    I needed a product that would easily connect and stream content from my laptop to my tv. In the past, I've used s-video connections as well as rca adapters, but was tired of all the cable work. This Sony media player got the job done. Using wifi connections, audio, video and picture files are easily accessible to view on my tv set. The only drawback....only avi video format is accessible thru wifi. other files like mkv and mp4 are accessible only thru usb connection. And dont try contacting sony support, its a waste of time.

    The best Audio and Video quality in its class, period!

    The good: Great connection options, component, composite & HDMI video. HDMI, optical and analog audio. Excellent wifi reception. Excellent audio and video quality. Good remote. The bad: Sony media services are limited. No Crackle and No Slacker in my IP. No close caption
