    Great birthday gift

    I love it! So glad I was given the opportunity to get one in just the right size for a decent price. The first & 2nd dvd's were very entertaining, I'm sorry I really couldn't get into the last two, but I'm still glad I got this size.

    More than just a movie

    In my youth, The Wizard of Oz was an event. Shown only once a year, the anticipation leading up to the airing was as much of the experience as the actual viewing. From the moment Judy Garland sings Over the Rainbow, I was strapped in, ready for the ride. Now, I see the cardboard backdrops, the wires on the monkeys, and notice that the Lion's crown; broken neatly from a vase by the Tin Man does not break when it hits the floor. But then my little girl draws back in fear at the sight of the Wicked Witch of the West, and cries for Dorothy and Toto. And I am awash in the feelings of my youth once more. This film is a part of me. I hope it might be a part of you too.

    The Incredible Wizard of Oz, Awesome Product for the money and memories

    The never ending joy of the Wizard of Oz experience, I have loved this movie since seeing it on television in black and white in the early 1970's, When I saw that this dvd was in the emerald edition 4 disc set I had to have it, it was beautifully decorated in emerald green with all the characters in bright colors, the inside disc each have one of the characters under each disc with one of their sayings that just fit each one's personality, there was a lot of extras on each dvd that I had never seen and was truely impressed about how the story had come about in the first point. I have the wizard of oz on standard dvd with no extras, but I really am glad to own this dvd it was worth more then I had paid for it, I highly recommend the dvd series to everyone who loves the childhood memories ...

    You owe it to yourself to own this set!

    This is truly a masterpiece for your DVD collection. Not only is the movie there is crisp clean remastered quality but there are over 16 hours of special features! Nearly 4 hours of those extras are unique to this box set. I got the 4-disc Emerald Edition. The first disc has a commentary and a music-only track. The second disc has all the featurettes, deleted scenes and documentaries, the 3rd and 4th disc has all these old shorts, films and other adaptations of the Oz story. Pretty awesome set!
