As globetrotting adventurer Nathan Drake, you must embark on a trip to the mysterious Arabian Desert on a mission to find the legendary "Atlantis of the Sands," otherwise known as the lost city of Ubar. Joined by his mentor, Victor Sullivan, Drake soon discovers that he is in a dangerous race against a covert organization immersed in the occult. For the first time in the Uncharted series, Drake's Deception will offer stereoscopic support for 3D televisions.<br><br>Promising larger set pieces than those in the two previous games, Uncharted 3 will once again rely on a cinematic presentation that blends Hollywood-style storytelling with dramatic action sequences and special effects that utilize sand, water, smoke, and fire. In addition to his proficiency in ranged combat, Drake can now disable his opponents in other ways. New hand-to-hand combat moves let him take out multiple enemies at once, for example, or Drake can use stealth along with context-specific melee attacks. Both cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes are supported, with the developers integrating more single-player elements into the online game for a new experience.<br><br>This "Game of the Year" edition includes the full game as well as 14 different pieces of DLC, including extra multiplayer maps, an expanded co-op adventure, and more than 40 character skins.

Great adventure game.
This game is another great one in the Uncharted series but it was a major disappointment when it froze up in the later chapter and I couldn't get out of the Citadel. I had to use another copy to move on in the game. Very strange.

Another very good game in the Uncharted series, and now the price is right.
This one was bought as a gift, which is the only reason for getting the version with the online, co-op and multi-player extras. This review is based on having played the regular version without the extras. As in the previous Uncharted games, the story is an interesting mix of unrealistic fiction and a bit of history. There are plenty of 'bad guys' to shoot, as well as some odd creatures. All three games have a similar feel to them, but they are different enough to make them all worth playing. Other than a slightly annoying sequence where he's wandering around in the middle of nowhere, there isn't anything in particular that's bad about the game. I'd like more opportunities to plan a good strategy rather than being stuck in a relatively small area when a fight breaks out, but that's ... This one was bought as a gift, which is the only reason for getting the version with the online, co-op and multi-player extras. The most similar game series in my collection is Tomb Raider. Uncharted has more gunfights, Tomb Raider has a lot more gymnastics, and the TR puzzles can be a lot more difficult to figure out. Comparing the two, the biggest drawback to Uncharted is that the games take a lot less time to finish. The length of the game would be a lot more an issue if purchased at full price, but it's well worth the money now that it's in the discount rack. If you would end up buying the extras online anyway, you can get this entire package for a lot less than what they claim those features are worth. If you don't use those extras, the regular version of the game can be found at less than two-thirds the price, so one or the other should be a good deal for anyone.
