    Not the best

This is an ok game. There are better hunting games out there. This game is Not compelling or interesting to play. Ok graphics for the time. Simply, not the best...

  • Fast paced hunting action

The game has a really high fun factor if you like arcade style hunting. Every hunt is a 2 minute or so rush to get either a bronze, silver, or gold medal. Seems like you must get gold medals to upgrade your weaponry. If you are looking for a game like the older Deer Hunter games where you sit in a stand and wait then this game isn't for you. The graphics aren't all that great for next gen but I really enjoy the game. I have played it through the first 3 locations and I really like it but I wish it has an option where you could just freelance and set up stands and such. It does have some neat weapons in it as you start out with light weapons like 20 gauges and a small caliber rifle. You have to get medals to get scopes and game calls. The 2 minute arcade shoot em up rounds are really fun.

  • Cabela's Trophy Bucks (Xbox 360)

WELL, THE GRAPHICS ARE AWESOME, BUT YOU WOULD EXPECT THAT FROM THE XBOX 360. AS FOR THE GAME PLAY... ITS FUN BUT IT IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. I WAS WANTING TO ACTUALLY HUNT AT ALL THESE DIFFERENT LOCATIONS THAT ARE OFFERED. INSTEAD IT IS A TIMED, SHOOT EM UP EVENT EACH TIME. DONT GET ME WRONG, THE GAME IS FUN, BUT NOT REAL CHALLENGING. IF YOU WANTED TO SIT IN A TREE STAND OR ON THE GROUND AND CALL THAT "ONE" BIG TURKEY OR BUCK IN... YOU CANT REALLY DO THAT. YOU HAVE TO KILL SEVERAL BIRDS OR BUCKS IN ORDER TO GET POINTS TO ADVANCE TO THE NEXT LEVEL / HUNTING REGION. THE GAME GOES PRETTY FAST SO IM GLAD I DIDNT BUY THIS AT WALMART AND PAY FULL PRICE FOR IT BECAUSE THEN I WOULD HAVE BEEN MAD. ALL IN ALL... IT IS FUN, AND IT PASSES THE TIME BUT AS FOR A CHALLENGE... NOT SO GOOD.

  • Could be much, much better...Best example of Average...

I have to admit that for the price I paid, I wasn't expecting a much better game. But I was expecting a better game because of the Cabela's name. It is kind of OK but same boring cycle of "start - shoot in 2 minutes - over" for different cycles of shooting. Too arcade, rather than a free flowing, get a gun, walk in the forests, search for a deer, take your time and shoot kind of game. I played this on a 50" HDTV in High Definition and still it is impossible to see some of the pray. And I shot some of them even though I know I was way off the target. Entertaining? Suure, so does the clipping your toe-nails! It's an average game, with no story line, no time freedom, no gear freedom... 3-2-1 shoot, bang bang... You won or you lost... That's it!

  • Get game to share the fun with or just to blow of steam,

An older version of the hunting games out there today, but no less fun, easy to get used to and quick jump in to action, a lot of quick fire missions, not so keen on the timer but like said a fun all round game best with a few beers and a small group of buddies
