    Toyota quality filter OEM piece of mind

    I have been driving Toyota/Lexus products for over 25 years. I have learned that using OEM parts for my cars is the cheapest way to go. You pay a little more up front but the parts perform as the car was designed to work. The oil filter is probably the most important part of the car to have great quality and longevity of the engine. I have never had an oil related issue with any of my cars, even with over 300,000 miles on them. I currently own 3 Lexus and 1 Toyota and only use Toyota filters on all of them. I’ve been an engineer for 43 years with half of that time in the auto industry so I feel qualified to give you this advice. Thank you for your time reading this. I hope it helps you keep you car running for many years.

    OEM Toyota Filter

    OEM Toyota oil filter. Designed to be used with synthetic oil. All in a neat case of 12. I always try to use genuine oil filters ( OEM ). Except for Honda. They cheaped out on their OEM and switched from Filtrete to Fram. HUGE difference between the two. Not Toyota. Still using same one :) Great find for a dozen filters. Very happy with purchase.

    OEM source TOYOTA filter, often used in palce of shorter 90915-YZZF2

    Denso makes these filters for Toyota as shown on the cannister, and these (90915-YZZF1) are what a Toyota dealer would be using to replace the half inch shorter one (90915-YZZF2) at SOME dealerships. This longer filter only holds about an ounce more oil than the shorter one, BUT it has more surface area of filtering media. If 2 Toyota filters are of the same diameter and have the same thread size, and the longer filter cannister does not extend far enough to interfere with something, or to protrude far enough to be at risk of physical damage, there is no particular reason why a longer one cannot be used where a shorter one was used originally.
