World Tours II Golf contains seven courses, playable solo or against online competitors for prizes and awards at the WorldToursOnline.net web site. The featured courses include Myrtle Beach, Wildwood National, Sunterra, Waterlefe Golf & River Club, Pine Beach, Horseshoe Canyon, and Thistle Down. Four swing modes (two- and three-click style, mouse, and simulation) are available, along with tutorials, audio and visual help, multiplayer action over a LAN, and free online tournaments.<br><br>The online Prize Catalog list contains items in categories featuring clothing and accessories, home and office gear, gamer hardware and software, golf apparel, equipment and instruction, sporting goods and memorabilia, travel, and more courses. In addition to winning the add-on courses, you can also purchase them for a modest fee through download or compilation CD packs. Newly available courses since the release of World Tours II Golf are Blue Hill, The Heather, and Lonestar Falls.<br><br>Friendly Software Corporation initially developed the downloadable Golf Magazine Myrtle Beach Tour online golf simulation. Connecting to the official Friendly Software web site will link you to the WorldToursOnline.net, which offers some free competitive golf online events allowing you to earn skins for redemption of prizes. Also available are pay-for-play tournaments where the prizes are bigger and you can establish an Online Ranking, view tournament results, and track your "skins" balance. A free version of World Tours Golf is available for download, although the CD version contains enhanced features such as video flybys, commentary, practice range, high-resolution graphics, and more.
