Criminally Underrated Psychological Thriller
Many psychological thrillers have captured the public's imagination. From "The Silence of the Lambs" to "Se7en", the main thrill of being scared by the tension and the things you don't see, not to mention the unpredictability of the things to come, was and still is a big selling point. "Copycat" is no different. It deals with serial killers, the details that made certain ones disturbingly iconic, and even features two women as the leads who don't talk about romance and wanting to go on any dates with men(Bechdel Test worthy indeed.) Helen Hudson is a psychiatrist dealing with agoraphobia especially after a attack in a college lavatory by one of her students. Her only link to the outside world is her computer. However, her safe little world is threatened when a killer, who's already killed ... Many psychological thrillers have captured the public's imagination. In comes Officer M.J. McNamara, who is trying to put a stop to the killer's unoriginal yet all too scary killing spree. Now, they must work together to identify and dispatch this killer before he (as is usually the case in serial killer films) strikes again and makes good on his threat to kill another innocent person or one of the two leads.

PLOT: psycho imitates the past crimes of famous serial killers while stalking a psychiatrist he "admires" this could have been a great movie but for the lack of good acting~ Signourney Weaver is a psychiatrist who was stalked by a serial killer~ who ends up with a rare "phobia" and hides in her apartment for a year~ she is fair only~ since we feel this expert on serial killers has some mental health "issues" herself~ soon the cops (Holly Hunter) that seek her help with some new cases~ soon Weaver links them to one man who is busy IMITATING famous killers~ from her lecture~ the BEST acting is by Harry Connick Junior as a very weird killer she put in prison~ his busy manipulating her from afar~ and using a released con to stalk her~ the lack of a good mystery and lack of characters we ...
