They arrived intact and were of consistent lengths, but varied in diameter and thickness of the wood. I appreciated this because it allowed me to have a wider range of application for my project. This is my first time seeing and working with cholla wood and the details are so cool. Lots of grooves and crevices around the holes to provide a more textured look. It’s untreated, so a more polished look requires cleaning and sanding/filing.

I went with the 6 pack of 3 in cuts of cholla wood and to my surprise I ended up getting an extra piece for a total of 7. Wood came in great condition, I was tempted to just add it my tank outright but a lot of people recommended boiling and scrubbing it so that’s what I did. The small size was good for me, but if you have more space in your aquarium you may want longer cuts. Wood arrived in a small brown flat envelope which was marked fragile
