    Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550s

    This recently purchased Quad CPU works great in my 10 yr old home built computer! I repaired and upgraded my computer, I installed it on a recently purchased Asus P5Q Green Motherboard using 2 sticks of DDR2 RAM, 1 GB each, on an XP Pro Windows operating system. I used the 2 yellow slots on the motherboard for the RAM. I also used a new Original Intel Core 2 Extreme Heatsink Cooling Fan for LGA775 Quad Core CPU. This Quad CPU emits less heat than many other Quad CPUs, which makes it easier to cool.

    Good and economy replacement for CoreDuo

    Use to upgrade my HP Elite8000 SFF desktop. Highest performance processor supported by my motherboard. Also, the same power consumption (65W) that allows to use existing power supply without worrying. Together with the RAM size increasing and HDD to SSD switching it gave a new piece of life to my 6-yrs old machine. Expect to use it at least for the next 5-6 years.

    Great replacement

    Had an E8400 in an hp 8000 usdt - cinebench cpu rating 160. I decided to get the best supported CPU for the hp 8000 usdt and bought it. It works great in the machine and the pc is now very responsive to heavy tasks. Cinebench score with the Q9550s is now 313.

    - The processor that arrived was intel core 2 quad q9550s as exactly was described. - Fits perfectly in my asus p5kc motherboard (socket 775). - Comes with thermal paste. - I had an intel core 2 duo e8400 and there was a big defference in performance. - Very reasonable price.
