    Does not work on 1999 Toyota Hilux Surf (JDM 4Runner) even though they look exactly like the factory key fob. According to the seller these were supposed to work. Used the programming instructions for the 3rd gen 4Runner and could get the vehicle into programming mode fine... but the remotes would never pair with the vehicle. Tried 3 times and still could not get them to work. I reached out to the Seller who responded once wanting more details which I provided, but then they went silent on me.

    Wife’s original FOB for 2000 Toyota 4Runner quit working, and new coin battery didn’t seem to help.     These key fobs are terrible and a complete waste of money.

    Bought a set of 2 fobs. One of them worked improperly (the lock button locked the car, the unlock button locked it. This fob has a third button which is supposed to lower the windows, but even that doesn’t work) while the second remote was completely dead upon arrival. Within 2 weeks, the once faulty but functioning remote lost the ability to unlock my car, then later died completely. This is all while having installed a brand new battery. Save your money, don’t buy this.

    Nice product

    These appear to be very close to the real Toyota issued ones that came with the vehicle. The synchrozizing was a little tricky as I obviously kept failing to get one step right, so I viewed one on YouTube which allowed me to synchronized these in a jiffy. I must admit I was intimidated by this process, but the keys synchronized perfect with the 4 Runner and work fine. By the way, these were much cheaper than anywhere else too.

    Exactly what I needed

    Well, let' see... the product is new as described. The remotes work and were super easy to set up. Definitely feel like they're made from quality and durable plastic. They work from further away than the one that came with the vehicle too, so just nothing but praise. I would like to say more but, what else is there to remote fobs?

    2001 Toyota 4Runner Key Fobs

    Recently bought a 2001 4Runner who’s owner lost the original fobs. Thought I would have to spend a lot of money to replace them but gave these inexpensive ones a try — why not. To my surprise when they arrived, they looked and felt great. Once I figured out how to program them reviewing YouTube videos of how to do so for my particular vehicle, it was exciting to find they work perfectly. Saved me a lot of money. Programming can be tricky, but I figured it out.
