A consideration when buying an 8mm-wide gold band: the extra width may make your normal/ gaged size seem like a tight fit. Easy solution: we took my wife's 8mm, 14k gold band to a competent jeweler who stretched it 1/2 size for a very reasonable price.

I received the ring, it's very nice. Delivery was quick and safe. However, the vendor's lack of communication was unpleasant. I noticed that 7 days after I purchase the ring it had not been shipped, I emailed the vendor to find out when shipping would occur, I never received a response. It was 4 days after I emailed the vendor that I was preparing to ask for a refund when the item was shipped.
