The Singapore locations of Saint Jack. It takes a lot of moves and a lot of hustle. But as Jack always says "People make love for so many crazy reasons. why shouldn't money be one of them"?. Legendary filmmaker Peter Bogdanovich ( Targets, Paper Moon ) co-starred, directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Howard Sackler ( Killer’s Kiss ) and Paul Theroux ( The Mosquito Coast ) – based on the novel by Theroux.
One of Bogdanovich's best. Slow burn, understated, but intelligent and profound. I'm almost glad his three previous films had been flops, otherwise he may have never taken the artistic risk to make this movie. Saint Jack was perhaps Bogdonovich's first film that wasn't a homage to his filmmaker heroes of yesteryear, and its his last great film.
