    Excellent microphone pre-processor for PA, small studio, and ham radio applications

    This is a professional-quality pre-processor for microphones. It performs limiting, noise gating, low-frequency roll-off, and compression very well and without adding artifacts. Although I've never used it, the feedback destroyer function should be very helpful in PA applications. It identifies and learns resonances in a room and automatically adjust gain at these frequencies to reduce the likelihood that feedback will occur. Adjusting the Shark to suit a particular application can be frustrating, so reading the instructions is a must. The front panel is easy to understand, and the LED segments and numerical display are very helpful. The XLR and phone jack I/O options make connections to the mic and other equipment very simple.     Raises average audio level while keeping peaks in check.

    I am using it between a studio mic and my Yaesu HF transceiver. Use a small amount of compression and it manages the audio levels perfectly. Everyone says my audio sounds great. Noise gate smoothly removes background noise from fans, etc. Good product!
