This was the best price, best shipping time, GREAT PRODUCT!!! But, the tube of oil had leaked everywhere. :-( It still works however, as I had it professionally installed and he had oil to go in the unit. Also knew how to properly fill the journals. Good thing. Bell & Gossett Circulator
The circulator arrived quickly and installed relatively easily. The original circulator installed with hardware where the size of the nuts and bolt heads were the same size; not so for the new circulator. Regardless, it went together well and ran smoothly. The motor oil plugs are difficult to remove, unlike the small hinged caps on the original motor (the pump still had a hinged cap). The assembly did leak some of the oil that was provided and almost every time the circulator stops there is a short, loud chirp.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

"Ball bearings are not the answer."
After installing this ball bearing unit it was apparent that it runs noisier than the original Bell & Gossett sleeved bearing unit. The sleeved bearing unit is very quiet compared to this ball bearing unit. The ball bearing unit failed after a year and a few weeks elapsed time. The inner bearing closest to the impeller started squealing. Additionally there was evidence of a small amount of water leakage out the vent hole. The ball bearing unit only had six months total run time on it. I replaced the ball bearing unit with the original 20 year old Bell & Gossett unit with a new seal kit installed.
