Mesa Rain --- We call this music Southwest Rock. You'll hear influences from Johnny Cash to Hoagy Carmichael. You'll hear Texas honkytonk, cowboy jazz, some Latin style blues, and our music often swings hard because that's where the fun is. A songwriter has about three minutes to change someone's life. The dream is to write the song that is playing during that first kiss, a song that takes the edge off a tricky day, the lyric that brings a smile to an OTR (OVER THE ROAD) trucker in the middle of nowhere, or be that tune that lovers dance to in their kitchen. Not a big dream but it's our dream. This music comes from that place in the dark, just past the headlights. Follow the sound of our engines as we out run the dark angels and reach for the other side of the sunset. So, Mesaritas and Longnecks, give our first album a listen...you'll be dancing in your mind and with each other...
