"Night Gallery" (not just season 3)
"Night Gallery" will always remain in the shadow of Rod Serling's better-known creation, "The Twilight Zone." This is unfortunate, because "Night Gallery" certainly offered its share of excellent writing, directing, and acting--Serling fans would do themselves a favor by exploring it, if they haven't already. The second season of "Night Gallery" is unquestionably the best, but all three seasons have a few gems to offer. It's a shame that Serling did not have creative control of the series, and that the network pushed for horror over paranormal in the third season. Nevertheless, fans of Serling's creativity would do well to explore the DVDs of "Night Gallery" now that they're finally available.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Out with a whimper...
By its third and final season Night Gallery was scraping the bottom of its barrel for fresh ideas and Rod Serling had minimal creative control over the finished product. Although it has its moments, it is overall the weakest of the three seasons but if you're a completist, you'll want to have it in your collection anyway. That said, one can be thankful the horribly butchered Sixth Sense episodes that were shoehorned into the syndication package were not included in this or any of the Night Gallery DVD collections.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
