The Great Music? GONE...
Half the greatness of this iconic show was the music; each week a different popular artist at the time would be featured and their songs would be used as the backdrop to the story. Well...that's GONE, thanks to this sub standard dvd set from the trashy, budget label "Mill Creek." I guess they didn't secure copyrights from the artists, which makes no sense as the show was perfect free advertisement for their music, and only served to propel sales. Anyway i don't see the point of releasing "21 Jumpstreet" without the original music. They have inserted generic rock music in it's place, and in some episodes, like "Fame High," the music is intrinsic to the storyline. This has become the trend, with vintage films and shows being altered for re-release. This shouldn't be allowed. As for the quality of the show, I notice it began to lose steam after season 2, as the cast got older and they cut down on the story lines where they go into high schools undercover. Maybe that why they added Grieco to the cast, to inject some needed energy into a series that was losing steam. I can't really recommend this product..Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
