It also allows you to make hands-free phone calls. It uses Bluetooth to connect to your phone. Spoken commands make driving both more convenient and safer, but if you'd rather use manual inputs to choose a route, you can do so with this GPS. The touchscreen and manual keypad on this nüvi GPS unit make it easy to manually select your destination.The Garmin nuvi 2460 GPS receiver includes Lane Assist with junction view. This feature gives you advance notice of which lane to move into for upcoming turns and exits, which is very helpful when driving on unfamiliar roads. This Garmin nuvi GPS model's software also includes the trafficTrends feature. It uses a database of historical driving time data to improve estimated arrival times. The myTrends predictive routing capability even saves data on the routes your vehicle regularly travels. It uses the data to predict the destination of its owner based on previous GPS usage. With no spoken or manual commands needed, it provides an ETA and relevant traffic information at the top of the screen.Accessories for the Garmin nuvi GPS 2460LMT and LT models include the owner manual, power cable, and suction cup mount. Available add-on accessories include safety cameras, portable friction, and dashboard mount-type alternatives. Protective carrying cases are also available.The Garmin nüvi 2460 GPS series comes in two models. The 2460LT provides lifetime traffic updates. The 2460LMT will update both map and traffic data for the lifetime of the device. Both the nuvi 2460LT and the 2460LMT come preloaded with City Navigator NT street maps for Canada, the US, and Mexico. They also include millions of points of interest and speed limit data for most major roads. The 2460LMT is bundled with the Garmin nuMaps Lifetime. This provides the owner with map updates at no cost every time they become available. No subscription is needed for this service. The LMT lifetime map updates include all of North America along with Hawaii and the Caribbean. An FM traffic receiver provides information on traffic conditions. Map changes can be downloaded to the 2460LMT by connecting it to a computer using the included USB cable.A 5-inch, full-color touch screen makes it easy to check road conditions and view maps on the Garmin nuvi. You can also take this portable navigator with you while you walk or bike. It will provide pedestrian directions to your destination. When the trip's too long to bike or walk, the ecoRoute feature calculates the most fuel-efficient route to get from A to B. This helps you save money while minimizing your carbon footprint. Plus, you'll enjoy a number of travel tools including a JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, and currency converter. It also offers a measurement converter, calculator, and 'Where Am I' emergency locator. This feature shows where you are in relation to nearby hospitals, police stations, and fire departments.     Garmin

    Doesn't pick up you voice very well. Could show the names of smaller roads other than just main roads. Have to manually change states. Somewhat outdated compared to oem vehicle factory installed versions. Biggest complaint as mentioned is the poor recognition of voice commands.

    other than a bigger screen this version of nuvi is not good.. the screen doesn't automatically scroll in detail view as you travel/drive which makes viewing the screen less optimum than how it used to work.

    This is the best GPS I've ever had. Many features most don't have, clear to read, and voice command is helpful. I was excited to find one when the onboard gps died in our van. Now both cars have this GPS.
