    Love these Radios!!

    It has all the functionality of the FT3D with the only difference being the LCD screen instead of the color. If your application requires longer battery life I highly recommend the FT2D over the FT3D. I own both and love them. Tend to use the FT3D when I’m at home and the FT2D when I’m in the field. Batteries are interchangeable and using the same battery I get double time on the FT2D. Also aftermarket antenna is a must unless you are very close to a repeater or working into a digital hotspot. Diamond SRH77CA is great and outperforms the stock antenna by leaps and bounds.
