    looks like it won't work for me on a thermador cooktop

    saw this after I received the switch; Beware: I've bought several of these switches to replace switches on an old Thermador cooktop. The most recent one I received was actually a 5500-200M, which is supposed to be compatible. The internals of the 200 and 200M are different, however, and the 200M does not work properly with my cooktop. The burner with the 200M behaves correctly if it is the only active burner, but if another burner is turned on (at any setting), then the burner with the 200M switch goes to "high" regardless of its dial setting (unless it is switched off entirely). I found an explanation for this behavior in comments on another site but have not seen it in any product documentation, which seems like a serious oversight. Show less F***.

    Not identical generic replacement but works well.

    Worked for replacing 2 of 4 switches on unusual discontinued stove range. The press down to click and turn on is different than the original switches but work fine. Installation was a little tight and required snapping off some of the plastic case to clear wiring connectors.
