    False Advertising

    The highly touted Gerry Mulligan can be heard on only 1 track playing brief counter melody and not soloing. This album was recorded for United Artists records and later reissued by Impulse records complete with their patented gate fold covers but you wouldn't see Bob Thiele's name on it anywhere, on it although it it is hard to see how it could have been released without his knowledge and approval. Taylor's playing is Ok but some of the Quincy Jones arrangements are sappy on already mostly sappy material. Anthony Ortega is not a very good saxophone soloist.
