    Great Buy

    I was using a candy thermometer to boil maple syrup but with the small scale and steam I had a very difficult time reading the temp so I purchased this electronic unit. It has magnets and I stick it on the top of my stove, insert the probe and set the alarm at a temp that warns me it is getting close to being done. It works great. Vast improvement over how I was doing it. Great buy... It says plus or minus 5 degrees but it is closer than that.
