      Outstanding key

      I had this key since the 90's. It is strong and reliable. I recently lost my keys and I was thrilled to see this quality key was still available. I still keep cuffs in my glove box and I would be a skeptical for a different brand. My testimony is based from field experience.

      SAFARILAND goes cheap!

      As a former police officer I appreciate owning this key. It made unlocking handcuffs so much easier do to the long shaft. I recently started back as a volunteer. Because I have my original key along with my other memorabilia in a display case I ordered a new key for use with my new assignments. When the key came it appeared to be the same as my original. But after taking it out of the handsome package I noticed a difference in the weight of the key. The SAFARILAND logo had changed and difficult to read. But the biggest issue was the unlocking point on the key had been greatly reduced. It barely unlocks a set of handcuffs. A problem that never occurred with my original key. I haven't decided if I am going to use the new key. The cost savings to produce the new key shouldn't save ...

      Great for departments with junk handcuffs

      Bought this cause one guy used it so many times to open cuffs and shackles that many other brand of keys wouldn't. Plus the shape makes it easy to torque it when the cuff or shackle won't release it. Just wish they would make them for smith and wesson 104 handcuffs.

      This is the kind of key a professional needs when he/she uses cuffs regularly. The large handle makes unlocking or double locking much easier,especially when the person in custody is not flexible. I have used one for years and needed a spare.
