When it arrived, the hour and minute hands were loose, and the second hand had to be put in place. Doing that did secure the other two hands. The battery is very difficult to put in and remove—you almost need to use a tool to do so. The second hand was bent a little, and the clock stopped when it ran into the minute hand.
