    Somewhat challenging build, good family activity

    As a Lego fan from my childhood, I was a little apprehensive about building a tree. Fortunately, my daughter was interested in this set, and we spent a couple hours working together to build it and read the way the designers repurposed the molds to create the roots and blossoms. The set has a summer and spring set of directions depending on your preference and is currently on display in our house as a reminder of a fun afternoon we spent building it. This is a great set for building with a helper or alone.

    Missing parts, marketed whole.

    Don’t want to sound like a pill. That being said, the box came damaged, the set came partially assembled, and missing pieces though marketed as complete. Since this was a gift, a little annoyed about it being incomplete. It still works, I just made a little patch kit for the missing parts. Just don’t expect the whole thing if you buy.

    LEGO Bonsai Tree

    LEGO Bonsai Tree 10281 Building Kit was a gift for my 19-year-old, and she loves it. We just finished putting together a Winnie the Pooh from LEGO and the pieces are so well made, colored and put together with detail it's amazing. I know once she puts this together, we will be getting the light kit for it. These kits are more of a collector item not something you would put together and take apart it is for the older individual.

    LEGO Bonsai

    This set was a ton of fun. BUT!! It was frustrating also, There seems to be some kind of manufacture flaw, or design flaw. The trunk of the tree doesn't stay together, and the branches pop off easily also. I have read on the Facebook pages that some people just glue the pieces together. It looks great when done. Just becarful.
