Original wireless cards were only 54Mb. Got up to 290MB on these older computers by adding this to a usb port. Modem is an old NETGEAR C7000V2 cable modem but works fine, quick enough. Eliminated waiting on video downloads. Windows updated to the new driver then rebooted. Had to select the new WIFI connection thru the network/internet settings but hey, it did everything else. Great product. Thanks!!

Just a quick note: the plug-and-play feature of the WiFi adapter works only if your computer’s automatic updates are turned on.
