Personally, I love baseball and I do suggest it if you are getting a GameCube. The game is cheap and quite enjoyable with an in depth story mode. It's local multiplayer is by far the best part as you can play with your friends quite easily. All in all I suggest getting this game. My main gripe would be team customization as limits in that regard as in multiplayer it becomes a race for who gets the best characters.

Item as described .. poorly packaged .. just some advice next time put alittle bubble wrap inside the game cases so the cd doesn’t pop out and bounce all over the case . Good thing is the game disc read .

Since my family couldn't afford a lot of videogames when I was growing up, I playes this game to death on my aunt's game cube any time I was over at her house. Playing it again hit me with so much nostalgia. The game is high quality, still as fun as ever, and this time I have people to play it with. It's aged pretty well, too. I recommend the game for anyone into the various Mario sports games out there.

Mario Superstar Baseball (2005) An Alright Sports Game but Overall not that Great! I rented Mario Superstar Baseball expecting a lot. I don't know why, but I thought the game would be a lot better than it is. Mario Superstar Baseball is full of flaws and glitches and loses its replay value very quickly, even multiplayer and mini-games aren't that great. The mini-games can be fun depending on your mood, but if you aren't in the mood for baseball mini-games chances are this game will end up in your closet with your Tickle-Me-Elmo and your Moon-Shoes. Pros: - Mini-games are clever but lose value over time - Tons of Characters to Choose From - Each stadium has it's own special features called Home Field Advantage - Tons of Unlockable Characters - Learning curve very simple Cons: - Single player mode goes from extremely easy to unbelievably impossible with no middle - Replay Value non existent after about a week - Mini-games are clever but lose value over time - Unlocking Characters can get annoying - Game is extremely frustrating and inconsistent Final Verdict: This game is very fun at first, but loses it's value pretty quickly, the mini-games are very fun at first, but a few are very annoying. Overall this game was a huge dissapointment to me personally, but if you're a huge fan of Mario Sports games chances are you will love this game. 3/5 Rent or Buy: I gave this game a 3/5 because I know a lot of people are huge Mario Sports Game fans, my personal opinion of it however is 2/5. If you're a fan of Mario Sports this game is a definate Buy, if you just want something to do for a week a Rental is your best bet. PLEASE VOTE IF YOU FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL. IMO this game is great. The game is good for all ages as it has a simple learning curve. Choose your captain of your team (all nintendo characters are available from birdo to wario), assemble your team to fit your needs, whether you want an all power team, or a more balanced team of good defense and speed. The game has many challenges (cross homeplate 3 times with a character or throw out the 1st three batters you face) that you must complete to gain additional characters and rewards. The baseball fields are truely amazing. Each baseball field contains a "home field advantage". Take for instance, Bower's stadium with lava pits and falling blocks adds to the fun as you chase down a ball in the outfield. Overall a great game to add to your collection of nintendo sports games. Very fun and addicting, specially with friends. Get this game!Read full review
