My 5 Reasons for Hummingbird V4 Instead of Diamond Tremolo
I decided to get Hummingbird V4 after thinking about getting the Diamond Tremolo pedal for 5 reasons. 1) The Depth knob of Hummingbird V4 has the effects of different waveforms that Diamond offers. 2) The speed of the Rate knob goes so much faster than that of Diamond. It sounds like ring modulation and is very unique. It's extreme but musical. I wanted that sound. 3) I think Diamond's chaotic speed mode is interesting, but often not useful onstage. Controlled speed is the best for this. 4) As far as I can tell from all those YouTube videos on these 2 pedals, Hummingbird sounds better than Diamond. It sounds slightly cleaner and richer. In general EQD makes low noise, great sounding pedals that have very musical sounds. 5) V4 has a Flexi-Switch. Momentary tremolo is very useful for me. ... I decided to get Hummingbird V4 after thinking about getting the Diamond Tremolo pedal for 5 reasons. 1) The Depth knob of Hummingbird V4 has the effects of different waveforms that Diamond offers. 2) The speed of the Rate knob goes so much faster than that of Diamond.
