Retired NBA superstar Michael Jordan headlines this installment of Take Two's top-selling basketball series, which features an exclusive "Jordan Challenge" mode. Players will slide into the pricey sneakers of His Airness as they attempt to duplicate Jordan's efforts in ten legendary games. Featured events include 1990's 69-point outburst against the Cavaliers, Game 6 of the 1997 finals, and Jordan's final game with the Chicago Bulls. Once all ten scenarios are completed, Jordan will then become a playable athlete in the main game -- as a rookie -- in a new mode called "Creating a Legend." <br><br>You'll "be like Mike" as he begins a new career in the current NBA, gradually aging over the course of multiple seasons until his eventual retirement. In addition to prominently featuring Michael Jordan, NBA 2K11 also features a number of presentation and gameplay tweaks. The animation is designed to be more dynamic in this installment, allowing you to interrupt motions at will for more fluid control. New dribbling and passing schemes are present, and team management options can be changed on the fly. Returning to the game are the same modes found in NBA 2K10 on the console.

    Michael Jordan comes out of retirement

    It's fitting that NBA 2K11 prominently features Michael Jordan. After all, His Airness is the greatest basketball player of all time and NBA 2K11 is the greatest basketball game ever made. 2K Sports has delivered the most finely polished and fully featured sports game I've ever played -- and I've played a lot of sports games. The amount of work put into 2K11 is staggering -- perfect recreations of Jordan's historic games, streamlined controls, NBA teams that play and feel like their real-life counterparts, a franchise mode that includes sensible GM logic and intelligent team building. This is one of the most incredible year-over-year improvements of a game imaginable. Madden, EA's NHL series, MLB 2K, and just about everyone else has been served notice.     Best addition yet

    NBA 2K11 for the PS2 is one of the best additions of the series. The best part is that the series is still being made for the PS2. Rosters are accurate, it very rarely gets boring, and the crowd graphics are okay, but the crowd members appear flat, and clap randomly. The association mode is very in-depth, as you get to control just about everything real staff would control. The Michael Jordan mode is extremely fun. Overall, a 9.5 out of 10. Highly recommended.

    nba 2k11

    Pretty good game, use to always get nba for ps2 then they stopped making it. So I wanted to try this one out. Franchise mode overall is great, gameplay not the best. And a lot of rookies aren't in the game, the 2nd rounders, yet the premier ones are.
