This SSD has transformed my formerly slow Mac into a lightning fast machine! Bootup time approximately 10-12 seconds (formerly 1-2 minutes with the standard 5400 RPM drive!!!) I had installed a smaller one of these in my laptop some time ago and really liked the speed improvement. Went ahead and bought one for my desktop and the difference is amazing. May not be the fastest SSD out there for pure enthusiasts but its a very nice speed upgrade for not a lot of money. Time will tell on reliability but I've had good luck with SanDisk products in the past.

Once I got the right software to compress to go from 500 GB down to 480 GB, this was a breeze to install. It really speeds up certain delay times that spinning drives have built in. It is hard for me to believe that you can get this size SSD for the price. My laptop is 8 YEARS OLD and it is hard for me to believe that all laptops haven't gone to Solid State as inexpensive as this upgrade is.
