This unit is not only atracktive but proform beautifully. It is very easy to hook up, just power and usb. Using this has freed up my main hard drive and my system is working like it was when I got it. The download speed is great, the price was right. It is really easy to use. Thanks

Good hardware. Bad software.
I bought this product for personal files at work. It has been very reliable for more than 2 years. Pros Reliable Good performance Good price (bought it at Costco) Cons Proprietary encryption software Cludgy utilities The issue came when I upgraded from XP to Win 7. Basically the Encryption Folder completely disappeared. Online help was no help. I logged a case to get the special software with encryption. Within 24 hours they sent me a link. That didn't fix the problem. I had to call Tech Support and it was a simple case of showing hidden files from the Win 7 Folder Options. This so easily could have been in their Knowledge Base. The rep even heard of this before, so it wasn't like I was the only one. All in all problem solved, but it would have been nice to have done this all in 5 ... Highly Recomend this hard drive, for Home use. IT GETS THE JOB DONE
This Product is just what I needed. despite its' speed, the hard drive does it's job. I have a computer that has USB 1.0 Slots, so the speed in which i transfer in is not the drive's fault. It is a fantastic product, and I believe that at the price That I got it at, was a truly epic deal.

Great service and equipment
Hard drive arrived about 4 weeks ago after a slow start due to a bad sector at the beginning of the drive the drive has worked great. The size of the drive is just right but may need to be larger as time goes on.

Seagate 500gb external hard drive
What's to say about a hard drive except that I really enjoy the peace of mind that it delivers knowing that if I have sensitive documents, I can isolate it from the computer while surfing the net. Also, it is good to know that if my computer crashes, I will always have my documents which can be accessed through any other computer.
