Well to be bunt the main reason I bought Parasite Eve II is that it’s a classic RPG for the Playstation game system. I had owned in years ago but traded it away, since then I’ve started my own collection of classic RPG’s for the PS1. The main thing I enjoy about the game is the deep story line, and with the multiple endings it has a high replay value. The only draw back to the game is that it’s rather short, my best time was being able to clear the whole game in only 3 hours (4 hours if I don’t skip side items). Over all the game is a great buy and it’s a great sequel to the first. I will keep looking around for the best deals on the best games, and this one was a lucky find.
Another great game by the hand of squaresoft Parasite Eve II (パラサイト・イヴ2) is a horror action role-playing game for the PlayStation. The game was developed by SquareSoft and published in Japan in 1999 and in both North America and, unlike the previous game, in PAL regions in 2000. It is the sequel to the PlayStation role-playing video game Parasite Eve and the second game in the series of the same name. It was criticised cuz the control system but they seems to had forgot that this is a RPG like horror, not at all an action game so it just merged the movement of the previous game whit a better perspective while playing than the most aerial view of the first one so it became more dinamic than the first and that was a grab for the resident evil fans and survival horror hardcore fans of this year (about the year of the game release) So is a must have for a Survival Horror game collection, Gotta love it!Read full review
A really solid game, that largely went overlooked in it's time. The Gameplay is really fun with combination of fairly simple weapon play and upgrade-able parasite energy abilities. And the UI/item system is top tier just like the first game. It's more survival horror/exploration compared to the first parasite eve, which I really like and adds something fresh. A hidden gem, and I can understand after playing why it's so rare nowadays.

Parasite Eve II is a great follow up to the original. Does not matter if you played the first, this game takes several opportunities to give you information about what happened in the first game without truly ruining it for you if you play later. Like most early generation systems/games, the battle system and item screens seem somewhat cumbersome at first. However, there are lots of opportunity early in the game to learn these without being penalized. After becoming comfortable, their use is almost second nature and actually well organized. Like other games of this nature, there is some reduncy as you have to move back and forth between cleared areas in order to complete tasks to move on. This is not too bad except on one or two occasions where there is a bit more ground to cover and you feel like you're on a morning stroll. The designers try to break the monotiny by adding in new bad guys, which helps to build your strength in your character and obtain new items. However, at times I was left feeling like the characters (due to story) didn't know what they were doing. The storyline is average or a little better. The world the game takes place in is much smaller than the original game which took place in many areas, taking you almost literally on a tour of New York. Parasite Eve II is more focused on essentially five maps: Building, small town, a mine, a testing facility, and (for lack of a better description) a terra-forming map. There do not appear to be as many cut scenes, but they are well done. Actual gameplay is clear and few instances of map confusion, looking for doors. Only once or twice was this an issue, but your map clarifies easily. Don't get me wrong, this is a fun game, challenging, and completes the storyline began in the first. There is easily 20 hours of gameplay. If you enjoy Resident Evil, this game is a must. If you are a huge Final Fantasy gamer, you may be a little disappointed. I do recommend this game if never played.Read full review
Game works great so far, have had no problems. Graphics are little blurred, I accredited this to age, but not so bad that I unable to see details. It was very much what I wanted so the value goes with out questioning. Worth every minute of cost and time. The no manual was no loss for me as I knew the game from pervious year and it still bringing joy.
