The Gameboy Camera is a "game" for the Gameboy released in 1998 by Nintendo. It is a fully-functioning digital camera, and it takes greyscale pictures which are saved into the game's flash memory and can be printed using the Gameboy Printer (sold separately). The Main function of the Gameboy Camera is to take pictures (Duh!). The important thing to remember is that it was intended more as a toy than a serious camera -- so don't expect that you’ll be able to do any serious photography using it. However the black & white, low-resolution pictures have a certain charm to them. It has three minigames. These are: Run Run Run! a running race game which isn't very good, DJ a fantastic little application for making loops and beats, and Ball, a rather bad juggling game. The Gameboy camera also has various features which can be used to enhance your pictures: Trick lenses and panoramas. Trick lenses twist and warp your photos, and the panorama can be used to create stunning widescreen shots. Also there is a self-timer, for group photos and similar, and a time-lapse feature, for creating animations using sequences of photos. The gameboy camera is great. - it can be picked up cheap second-hand - is hard to break - and is very useful It won’t appeal to the serious photography crowd. But for some cheap entertainment, you really can’t beat it. Rating: 8 / 10Read full review
I bought myself a Game Boy Camera basically so I could familiarize myself with the included tracking program, Trippy-H. It's fun to mess around with and capable of mildly entertaining musical mayhem. Anyone who has not used it should be aware that it is very limiting (it is definitely no LSDJ.. It's a little more similar to Nanoloop but even that is a zillion times more advanced) but still pretty cool. And it's great to be able to take instantly recognizable GBC digital pictures :) Works great in combination with a USB transferer from Jose Torres, which allows you to view and manage your Game Boy Camera pics on your computer! If you can get one for cheap, as I did, it's worth having.
Product worked in the Gameboy Color I got to go with it just fine, takes pictures, saves them, the minigames all work. Note, it isn't a color camera, so the Gameboy Color is in black and white mode anyway. I just wanted to play other games on it that are in color.

Love it! The paper is original which is cool, but I bought some newly made papers and the prints come out much cleaner on them. Also the game portion was a lot creepier than I anticipated. "Who are you running from" creepy face and tones for run option.

I was not disappointed with how it played. The cartridge was clean and booted up without blowing into it. The camera works great and i've had no problems what so ever. It also arrived on time in good packaging. Thank you for this product. I will definitely consider purchasing from you in the future.

Great low res gameboy camera, perfect for the collector, and 8bit console fan! The cartridge has three games, which are fun enough, Camera effects which are great fun and very interesting, and a 8bit sequencer. The sequencer is awesome, and sounds great. The picture quality is one in a kind, and is great for contemporary artists. and the games are meh, but a good addition. over-all just super fun, I HAVE TWO!!
Beautiful looking gameboy camera that really was ahead of its time when it was originally released. This item could be purchased via the Nintendo Power Super Power Catalog in a variety of different colors. The one I purchased is the limited edition Zelda gold one, which was stated to only have 2000 made.

Not just an ordinary old camera, it doesn’t just take a picture, it takes a beautiful picture! Makes anything look like it’s in the gameboy world!

I had a GB Camera as a child and wanted to get one again. It is best to get a printer as well so you can experiment printing from the GB camera and certain games.

Don’t expect quality at photos of this camera. It’s coming from year 1995 so the technology was way back than today. It has thi 8-bit retro style picture that can’t find in any other digital camera nowadays. Play with this camera print and spend your time with many options that provides. Self timer, time lapse , effects even games exist in this cartridge
