  • Works Well Even With Windows 7

This board was a replacement for a failed Gigabyte board and I needed an inexpensive replacement as I didn’t want to spend $150 to replace the MB, RAM, and CPU to fix the system. This board isn’t as nice as the Gigabyte board but it does the job well and even works with Windows 7. There were two snags in Windows 7, the LAN and Game Port drivers. The game port work around was to disable it in the BIOS, the error you’ll see in Windows is ACPIPNPB02F. Once that was disabled the error went away. The second problem was a bit more intensive and as I found on the net no one else figured it out. To compound issues I’m running Windows 7 (x64), but to get the LAN to work you need to install the driver from ASRock’s site for XP “ULi_Lan_3.50x64_Eng.exe” but “Run as Admin…” by right-clicking on ...

  • If you enjoy building PCs, you'll enjoy building one with this motherboard.

This motherboard was made in the year 2006, but because of many innovations implemented onto it, it is still a useful piece of computer equipment even today. Many people that still have AGP video cards powerful enough to run today's games want to be able to use that video card in a computer powerful enough so that there's no graphical bandwidth bottleneck. Well, it just so happens that this is arguably THE most powerful motherboard that has a fully functional AGP8X slot. Not only that, it also has 16 lane and 1 lane PCI-E 1.0 slots if you ever feel the need to upgrade to the new standard, not to mention it still has 3 classic PCI slots if for some reason you need to use an older PCI video card. There is also integrated sound (Realtek) and ethernet (100BaseT), as well as two PATA133 ...

  • Not bad, not great

Great board for replacing a 939 mobo that goes down on you. Still has AGP plus a PCIe for trickle upgrading.

  • Good price solid performance!

Awesome board that is backward compatible with memory types! Great product! Multiple slots for PCI and AGP and is SATA and IDE compatible.
