Disappointed that item description was New despite obvious damage to one of the packages. Seller had photos, but they did not make it clear the extent of the damage. Seller should have made note of creases and plastic separations in item description. I am still rating it as a positive experience because (1) the very reasonable price and (2) I already have another of the damaged item from a previous purchase that is in new condition. But seller never responded to my comment.

The Retro-Bit RES is a joy to own. Set has great looks, plays original NES cartridges just like the original, and is a terrfic value! Buy one!
The Retro-Bit RES Top Loading NES Console w/2 Pack Controllers has been a great purchase for me. I recently found a bunch of old NES games in the attic but no console, this one does the job quite well. It arrived in a retail box and included the console, A/V cable, power supply, and 2 controllers. Everything seems to be of adequate quality, considering the console's low price. The cartridge slot does have a bit of a 'death grip' on my cartridges and I have to apply a bit of force to insert them, and pull a bit hard to retrieve them when done playing. It outputs using composite video, there is no HDMI output on this model, though I believe another similar version by Retro-Bit also features HDMI output. Some of the sound effects were a little fuzzy/muted compared to the NES. Especially in Bart Vs. The Space Mutants. The consoles controller ports are the same as original NES so you can use your old controllers or the ones provided. The provided controllers are comfortable, light, and the buttons have decent press feel. Overall this is a joyous little console and I am happy to have it hooked up with the rest of my old systems. At $20 to me it is a no-brainer if you love Nintendo. I will probably buy a few more as back-ups because I am so impressed with the product and components. Highly recommend this to ANY NES game enthusiast, a well made and extremely fun product from Retro-Bit.

NES classic slayer!
I couldn't find the NES classic anywhere and I refuse to play the ridiculous scalpers games. I have an aversion to emulators, so this was my decision. I do not regret it at all. Some reviews compare this RES plus to the Retron HD. From my experience with both clones, the retro bit is easily the better console. No bugs, glitches, or anything fancy. It comes with 2 controllers and all the 80's nostalgia I can handle I couldn't find the NES classic anywhere and I refuse to play the ridiculous scalpers games. HORRIBLE Audio Issues
