Pioneer PD F1007
Sound reproduction is excellent, far superior to the Pioneer CD player I used previously; however, the steps required to create a file, enter the artist's name, title, etc., are entirely too complex, time consuming and tedious. This unit would be ideal if Pioneer had included a port to enter all necessary text data by a keyboard. The player itself performs flawlessly. It retrieves, plays and stows CD's with no problem. Best CD Changer & Carousel
I used to own this carousel back in the day and glad I do again. Pioneer Elite is the brand for audiophiles and still is today. Playing CDs on this thing will make you want to go out and buy a Laser Disc player again. It’s that good. And it’s also Sonos Amp and Alexa compatible so you can stream CDs through your house.

A wonderful product. It's a shame, they don't make stuff like this anymore!
A truly fine machine, the PD-F1007 is very user friendly and has much more intuitive menu options than similar Sony models. I was lucky enough to find a virgin "NEW IN BOX" NOS model, and setup was a breeze. As Pioneer obviously can't warrant a model made in 1998, I bought the 3 year Square Trade warranty, just in case. But I very much doubt I need it. This machine is very solid and well built. The only small letdown was that I had thought these had a PS2 jack for a keyboard, so you don't have to enter CD titles thru the remote. Come to find out, they evidentally had a design change somewhere along the way, as I saw the same model number,(different version), on Ebay, WITH the PS2 port. It also had a blue-green display panel, instead of the red one mine has. Personally, I find the bright ... The Pioneer PD-F1007 was purchased to replace a PD-F957 model that was 13 years old, but still working great. The Pioneer PD-F1007 was advertised to be brand new, but I purchased a 2-year warranty just in case. Both units were manufactured in the late 1990s and it is a buyer's beware market. Anyhow, this purchase has exceeded my expectations. It appeared to be brand new (as advertised) although the factory carton was missing some packing materials. The unit works flawlessly and allows me to enter CD titles and artist's manes via the text feature and also continuously displays the title info. This is a step up from the PD-F957. Also, the display is far brighter and easier to read than my old unit and I sure do enjoy that feature. The PD-F1007 offers many other features, but I don't bother ...
