The width was listed 40R but shoe was excessively wide. Toe box was at least 5 inches across. When vendor was contacted they said it was the widest shoe in this line. Basically indicated that as the buyer I should have done my research. Actually, I DID research the shoe prior to purchase and found nothing online to indicate the Derby as being the "widest shoe" produced. Had the seller provided this information upfront, I would not have ordered it and would not have lost money for shipping.
