  • Excellent for technical aspects

Tom Monroe goes into quite a bit of detail. While not exactly for the novice, it gives very detailed information into what goes into building a racing engine. If you enjoy the technical aspects, the mechanics, and the engineering of a precision racing engine, this is the book for you. If you're just wanting to learn to rebuild the engine in your daily driver, then one of Tom's other books would be more in line with what you're wanting. I found it very helpful and look forward to implementing some of the information I've learned on my next competition engine.
