  • The Bridges of Madison County (1995, VHS)

Very romantic movie but drags along slowly in some places. Also will make you cry in several scenes. Tugs at your heart strings as a woman finds herself in love with a perfect stranger while her husband is away... but choses to remain with her husband & children. The only thing I did not like was the fact that she allowed herself to have an affair rather than remain faithful to the man she married. We all make mistakes though don't we? She does however remain faithful to the death do us part portion of her vows, but never forgets the man she loved so much yet had to let go. Very sad movie.

  • The Bridges of Madison County

This is one of my all time favorite movies. The fact that an Italian girl marries a United States soldier and immediately becomes a United States Citizen is not a rare happening. Here she was hoping for the big city lights and glamour; and instead, is transplanted to a very small farm in Iowa. When the rest of her family goes to the State Fair and she is alone, she accidentally meets a photographer and they fall in love. When he has to leave, he tells her "that this kind of love happens once in a lifetime". She has teenage children to raise which prevent her from leaving home and going with him. If they cannot be together in life than let them be together in death. Meeting your perfect match in life is a rarity. It happens about one in a million times.

  • The Bridges of Madison County

I first saw this movie back in 1995 when it was first released in the theaters. Since then I've tried to see it again when I could on any of the movie channels on TV ( which I have several times). It was by chance that I saw it on e-bay on day when searching for something else. The first couple of times that I bid on it I didnot win the bid. When I saw it posted by another ebayer I started bidding and won the bid. This is a very good "Chic flick" that will entertain anyone. It is a true Classic. Clint Eastwood is fantastic in this love story.

  • Bridges of Madison County

Fantastic movie! First rate acting. How can you ever go wrong with Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood? The quiet grace of their performances makes this a classic romantic movie. Eastwood 's direction once again shows us that he is truly up there with the greatest directors of film history.
