Will buy from this seller again. Fantastic price and I do belive the book was shipped exactly as described. That being said it was shipped in a thin envelope that was about as thick as construction paper and the inside was covered with glue. Book still arrived in decent shape but I think adding some bubble wrap in the future would be a good idea. I'm still giving a 5 star review because it was shipped quickly and I belive when it was given to the post office it was in the described condition.

Great DVD for any Cars fan
The Cars were absolutely one of the top two or three bands around during their years together. The only band that comes to mind that was even bigger during those years was Van Halen. I was heartbroken when I learned a couple of years b4 that Cars bassist and co-lead singer Ben Orr had died of pancreatic cancer. The Cars were never punk, as they have been sometimes mislabled - they were eccentric and certainly had a new wave feel to their sound, and it was cutting edge. To this day I haven't heard anything even reminiscent of the Cars from any other band. The video quality of this DVD is good not great, it's a show that I believe was recorded in Germany for German television. The sound is pretty good. Whatever may be lacking in visual clarity and hi-fidelity is more than made up for in the ... The Cars were absolutely one of the top two or three bands around during their years together. This is vintage early Cars, less showy live than in their performances later on, no fancy sets etc. So this video catches them before the more lighthearted "You Might Think" or "Hello Again", and before the darker "Panorama" album as well. Everything, and I mean everything the Cars did b4 the Door To Door album was great, so there are no weak songs on this DVD either. This DVD's songs are from their first, self-titled CD, and from Candy-O, their supernatural follow up album. It's cool seeing Greg Hawkes manufacture all the weird little sounds using various gadgets featured in the very weird but cool "I'm In Touch With Your World". I was a little puzzled at first when I saw The Cars live in concert at the sparse talk between songs - the most you ever got was "Thank you". Quickly I appreciated it, the minimalism, good riddance to the obligatory "How's everybody in Houston tonight!!!" There's a good interview with all members, including Ben Orr, on this DVD, which I enjoyed. Ben was quite ill in advanced stages of cancer, the guy must have been a warrior to have participated in the interview. It's heartrending to see him in that condition, but I was glad he participated as he was an indispensable part of the Cars. Some things I didn't know and found interesting about The Cars were revealed in the roundtable conversation, about their origins, early influences, some of the bands they have been said to influence that came after them. So this DVD, it's just indispensable to any Cars fan. There were a host of television appearances by The Cars on such shows as Fridays, Tom Snyder, Midnight Special, etc., and for whatever bizzarre reasons these terrific performances have never been compiled into a DVD for sale to the public. Someone needs to get to work and get that project done, this is ridiculous. You can watch these videos on Youtube and they are terrific, just priceless and so, so cool. This Cars DVD really whert my appetite for more. They also did a live concert in Houston later on, that was sensational, and was filmed using state of the art audio and video, with an elaborate staging. I believe that concert was on HBO, and I know it was later sold on videotape, but amazingly I don't think it's available for sale any more. You can find the odd used copy on ebay or whatever, but I don't think you can get it new at retail any more. Which is absurd, when plenty of lesser bands (much lesser) have ten times the video readily available for sale. But it does make you appreciate having this DVD all the more - get it now, I highly recommend it.

GOOD DVD OF A LOCAL BAND THAT IS WORTH OWNING.THE LIGHTING IS A LITTLE MUCH AT TIMES ESPECIALLY THE SPOT THAT SHINES ON BEN ORR, AND THE SOUND IS A LITTLE WEAK BUT OVER ALL CONSIDERING WHAT YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO FIND FROM THIS BAND, WORTH HAVING, INTERESTING INTERVIEW WITH THE BAND AS AN EXTRA AT A TIME THAT LOOKS SHORTLY BEFORE BEN ORR'S DEATH, NOT SORRY THAT I BOUGHT THIS ONE
