This phone is a nice size. It's not so big, but it is big enough to see things on the screen clearly.

I do believe in all probability, that the HTC phone when first came out for the first maybe 3 months, was at the top of its class. First four G for Sprint that came out. I imagine they were proud of it, but it is a heavier phone and more than likely it was one of the first ones that you could turn sideways to look at the whole screen. there is a kick out on the back of the phone that is like a lever and it will prop the phone up to watch the phone horizontally. That I did find very convenient. As for the picture resolution it's like a conventional TV then a plasma TV and also an HDTV, then you have your 4K TV. It's comparable to a plasma TV in the picture quality lineup. the the processor works very slow it takes a long time to load at any point. and then when you update and then when you update that is also a drawn-out process that seems to last forever. The buttons and icons little bit confusing at first, but then you get the hang of it and then you realize that the IT department at HTC must have been on vacation with their brains , because it sure is a very ill created and slow setup. and the battery life isn't too long, but I don't know why. I do know that when the phone is shut off it drains the battery dead when the phone is off. Even when you have location and everything shut off, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and various other programs. So I do not recommend buying one of these used phones unless you just want to use it to hold to your other phone or if you using your other phone for something else you can use the HTC to watch YouTube. But it really took me back aways and I had to laugh when I seen some of the applications in there and one of them that was burnt into the memory was Blockbuster Video. That was a hoot and a hell of a laugh!!! There are some programs in there that are obsolete and some that will not update. It does have a security update and it does do a firmware update, but that's about it. It will not run Google Chrome, live. Me and a few various other programs. It does a good job with maps though and Street view. I would not buy one of these phones unless you just want to use it every once in awhile maybe to watch YouTube possibly. It has a slow responding processor that maybe in the day was fast for a processor. I am very happy with my v20 by LG though it's quick as heck and takes beautiful pictures and videos. Watch out for the LG v20 also. My charge port went bad got real hot and burnt me, got a replacement phone because I had insurance and it was less than 30 days. Then the new one they gave me, the touch screen went bad, so they issued me a another v20. then one day I laid my phone down after using it and then I picked it right back up and it had a lock out on it that's it redo the tap pattern to unlock phone. Well I never set up a tap pattern so I tapped and tapped in Tapped. Wrong thing to do erase the data lock the phone. Verizon would not give me a new phone Google was not cooperating. Needless to say I was out of phone from a Wednesday till the Thursday of the following week. then I finally got ahold of Google and John there was very friendly and very very helpful. He says where did you get the phone, I said bought it brand-new it Verizon. He said brand new?, I said yes well they had to replace it a couple of times about this my fourth one, first one charging port got hot, second one it's touch screen went bad and this is my third one I'm on. He then asked me says what is your email? I told him what it was. He responded, and this is a new phone that you got? I said yeah it was replacement they said it was a new phone. He said sorry to tell you but that's a refurbished phone and not a new one and that is the reason you cannot get into it because your email does not match whoever had the phone first. I said well they told me that this was a store demo or something and it was a new phone that was never used. He said sorry to tell you again sir, that is a used refurbished phone, and I cannot give you the password. I was Furious! I called Verizon back maintaining what little patience I had, they made me hard reset it, that did not work still would not accept my email. They shipped me another phone with a new SIM card got it next day. That one worked the other one was not refurbished properly.. then I noticed that the phone I have now had a few minor scratches on it on back cover and I called Verizon back and ask him if this was a brand new phone and not a use refurbished one like they sent me. They says refurbished because that is what LG does if your new phone goes bad. I paid almost $750 for this new phone, and they're giving me a used refurbished one instead of replacing it with a new one and still charged me full retail price and the warranty does not begin over again either. just watch out for Verizon trying to give you used one for new price. I'm still fighting them and I will till the endRead full review

I give it a good rating and not a excellent because there is still a lot of improvement that can be done. Phone looks and feel great, very stylish, up to date with technology, and superb screen size. I love the screen size for browser the internet and watching video. Of course i'm a guy and I got big khaki pockets for the phone so i don't mind the big bulkiness, i actually like the screen size more than the iphone. As far as speed, the internet is really fast but programs needs some work to move in and out faster. A fast internet but slow software isn't gonna help it much. The Android software stinks, could use better functionality like the iphone. I miss the iphone due to simplicity, easy to navigate and organize app around. Sprint network is great but their data network isn't that great. I can call and text instantly but having trouble connecting to the data network to use app that require online access. 9/6/10 Update: Batteries perform good unless you are using flash from like watch youtube videos. That's why Iphone decided not to use flash on their phones and I know why now. From a full charge battery watching youtube, the whole battery drains in one hour compare to your regular videos which last for about 2.5 times longer. Going in and out of video files sometimes lags and freezes. Your video search loads kinda slow if you're trying to get all the way down to the bottom for your video. I wish you can set the setting for video to show just a list so it can scroll down faster than trying to load all the video picture while slowing down the scrolling down part. Be prepare to get extra batteries on the side and thank goodness this phone has that feature unlike the iphones. Once its dead its dead. Does what I need to do and they need to start putting up more general app like local banks, etrade, and etc.Read full review
The phone is great! Ability to Hotspot any WiFi device is great. Just as long as You ACTUALLY HAVE 4G CAPABILITY??? I DON'T, so the phone is slow. With 4g... its very speedy. Check your areas 4g ability before purchase! Sprint doesn't have it in my area, upstate NY. WiFi makes this phone run great, but naturally you need another internet provider. So much for the 3g connection your paying extra for.? Bottom line, its not the phones fault. It's the provider,Sprint. Good phone, great features, easy to use, tons of free apps. Make sure you don't end up with a phone that freezes during texting or internet use. If so, its a dud! Return it for an exchange.3g isn't horrible, but its not great at all.4g is very nice, again check for coverages before purchase. Tiss tiss Sprint. I've had it it over a year and a half, still no 4g and they had told me they were UNABLE to tell if and when 4g would be available in my area. I guess my area and over a hundred dollars a month isn't important to Sprint. So much for the big promotions of holy grail sprint ;+)Read full review
I purchased this phone because my wife has one and I was very impressed with the features. The apps are awesome, I can pretty much download any app for free. My only gripe with the phone is the battery, it depleates easily - but there's an app for that as well. I bought an extended battery on eBay, but that makes my otterbox worthless (won't fit over the battery). The phone is very user friendly, I strongly suggest that you use a screen protector, as the screen's sensitivity may be affected by scratches. I use a blue tooth device when talking as the phone is large and over a period of time becomes heavy to hold. As to wether the EVO is better or equal to the iphone, I'll leave that answer to you as both phones are nice to have. My favorite option on this phone is two fold; the netflix app, which allows me to endure long stays at the inlaws home (note why battery life is a real issue for me), and the wifi hotspot option - for an additional fee monthly I can set my phone up as a wireless internet access device anywhere there's a cell reception and tether my laptop wirelessly to it, using all the features and functions of my computer. One way to circumvent the extra fee for the hotspot is to "root the phone" by programing the o.s. to a version that gives you the ability to overide or tell the program what to do just like the phone company normally would for iphones it's called "jail-breking" but the process/terms are not synonmous and require different approaches to do so (note if you get caught using, you can lose the ability to use the phone or some how be charged for it - unless you know how to turn off or undo the root of your phone it is advisable not to take your phone to the store for repair). So to recap, a great phone in my humble opinion, but fails to receive 5/5 stars for the battery issue - I guess I should not complain since the phone does just about everything I want it to.Read full review
Awesome phone! I've been addicted to it. It was a tremendous update from my G1. Hardware-wise, the Mytouch 4G is much faster than the G1, internal memory is more than enough for all the apps I want, and comes with a generous SD card for my music and videos. The front and back camera also added a lot of new uses for the phone. The phone feels sturdy and it doesn't get bulky even after a gel case. Touch screen is very responsive and screen size is generous. Speaker and headphone jack also make it great for listening to music while on the go. Software wise, Android has come a long way. I wasn't too dependent on data plans while on the G1, but this one makes data plans worthwhile. User interface is much more enjoyable than before while holding its speed. Swype has also made not having a physical keyboard bearable. I practically like this phone more than my laptop! I use it for just about everything, anywhere, at anytime. Only complaint, like most others have mentioned is battery life. With the right battery control apps, I'm averaging 24-36 hrs with moderate use. At least charging only takes 2 hours or so, and then its good for another day.Read full review
HTC diamond is a pretty nice phone it comes with the older version of windows mobile. (6.1) And that can not be updated. The OS seems to freeze up sometimes and requires you to power the phone down and the internet on it is a little glitchy it will sometimes start giving off an error 777 blah blah blah so in which case it needs to be restarted. It also has sync problems and update issues. Anyways what microsoft system has ever been flawless. It is really easy to use and get use to. Touch response is great and there are a lot of free fun and useful apps for this phone as well as pay for apps. The battery life is good on stand by so long as the LCD is off but when running apps it losses battery life fast. Charging this phone takes a considerable amount of time as well. Being a lot smaller then the htc evo the screen and resolution come in pretty nice. I recommend HTC Diamond to anyone looking to get started on smart phones because alot of the other OS are a tad more complicated to walk through.Read full review
I'd like to say this device is "great", almost excellent as the interface runs smoothly and complements well with the programs it has. This phone has great features and I have no problems towards adapting to it all. On that note, it is great for lifestyle users, but for business use it can be troublesome. Reason being is that the battery life can drain quickly due to the multiple program usage along with the background lighting consuming the battery life. You must have your charger available after 20 hrs, but that's just a small compremise for me at least. Also, the keyboard is slightly difficult to use. You can solve the keyboard problem by installing SPB Keyboard, which allows a landscape keyboard to assist with texting or emails. Hands down, it's a "great phone", just not excellent.
This Android replaced my Blackberry (BB) and I love it! The internet is much clearer and so much faster. There are so many features on this phone that, although I have explored them, I have not used them all. I did not give this phone 5 stars for the following reasons: 1. Entering text on the Evo is not as easy as it was on my BB. The touchscreen keys are so small that I frequently hit the wrong key and hope the Evo will just guess the word. Also b/c the Evo has a mechanism in place to guess the word, my eyes are always going back and forth between the keyboard and the suggested words because I'm trying to see if the Evo has guessed the word yet! LOL Thank God for the microphone key, which allows me to speak rather than type. However, I must say that it doesn't not always understand what I said and I have to edit the messages anyway. 2. Battery - Battery holds a full charge for a little over a day if the phone is not sitting in a low-signal area such as my office. However, it takes a few hours to charge, which is longer than I anticipated. 3. If there is a way to toggle back and forth between open apps, I cannot find it. That ability would be SO useful. 4. Copying text from one app and pasting into another is rarely possible. I may have to BUY an app to fill this void. 5. The kickstand is a wonderful perk, but the phone still falls alot b/c the kickstand is only on ONE side of the phone. This causes the phone to wobble. 6. Calendar does not sync Facebook contacts unless you link a Google account to the phone. Since I use MS Outlook for mail, contacts, notes, and tasks, I had to find a special app to do this syncing, as Google does not even have a tasks function to which I can synce my Outlook tasks. 7. You cannot edit any calendar entries on the phone that were synced from Google Calendar. I think you have to log into Google Calendar if you ever need to change a calendar entry. I used to be able to do these things with my BB. Oh well, this is still a GREAT phone.Read full review
Legit phone overall. It has the shittiest battery life though. This phone's features work very well. It's not too heavy on the hand and it doesn't seem that big at all once you get used to the feel of it. Everything about this phone is awesome. At the end of the day the battery will not hold you down. This is still one of the best phones sprint has to offer. Hopefully the Evo 3D will present a substantial makeup for the Evo flaws. Apps and other features on this phone run very smoothly though given it's size. Would recommend some type of case for the phone, because it is prone to getting dropped somewhere. When it does, it will hit with heavy impact and possibly be done from a cracked screen or something like that.
