Hey, Folks! The Title Says it All Here. if You Own a Nintendo System and Don't Own This Game, Then You Are Not a Real Nintendo Collector. The Graphics Are Great and it is a Race Against Time Kind of Game. it is Classic Like, Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Wrecking Crew, Etc. I Highly Recommend This Game if You Like Me and Grew Up in The '80's.

Unfortunately, it's the only one. Controls are stiff, fun factor is limited, and deaths are aplenty. This is a $1 game based on playability, but is valued much higher due to unfair popularity and mild sparsity. If you don't collect video games, I suggest staying away from this stinker. If you do collect, buy it and lock it away to ensure no one you know is able to play it.

I've seen reviews both good and bad for this game. While some of the negative reviews have some merit to their criticism, I don't think most of them hold up when one considers just how early this game is in the evolution of home video games. I like the game overall as it is reasonably challenging and has a creative dynamic to its design that makes it fun and interesting. But, really, the main reason to own it is much the same as the reason to own any of the early Nintendo releases: they have that "cutsie" charm about them that makes them adorably irresistable. No, I'm not gay. And I'm not Japanese, either - I just think Nintendo nailed that "cartoony" style with their early games that was the exact right way to go with home video games at the time due to their graphical limitations. Super Mario Bros. was the apex of this "style" and, if you haven't noticed, Nintendo is still making a living off of it. Anyway, Ice Climber is a better than average game and worth owning for any collector of classic video games.Read full review
Athough short and simple, it sets itself apart by allowing two players on screen at once in a co-op fashio, not many games at the time had something like this and if they did it was a VS. mode

This game had me curious because i had played super smash brothers for nintendo 64, and it seems that all the playable characters in the game came from really good game. So i bought it and put it into my nintendo system and the game was great. It's such a classic and has its own uniqueness about it. You climb mountains and kill of the bad guys in the game with your hammer. This game is a definite classic to the nintendo systems if your a collector you must add this one to your collection.
This is a timeless classic game for the NES. As one of the first games for the system, the creator said it was his warm-up to Super Mario Bros. It has been ported to the game boy and also the Wii virtual console. I enjoy playing this game on the original nintendo anytime... Cool game.
