    cheap and cheerful

    Unfortunately if these do their job they soon become superfluous. My grandson, aged 5, will swim happily and safely with them and after only a few sessions is now able to manage quite a few strokes, closely supervised, without. We have a granddaughter only 18 months but she is already having swimming lessons and will probably be swimming before she's big enough to need them. If your child can swim with these in a pool please don't think they are safe in the sea or open water.
