One of the best tablets I have owned
I have owned about 7 tablets over the last 4 years and, some of them were okay, a couple were not but, this tablet is the best 7 inch tablet I have owned and, it is the second MeMo Pad and the third Asus tablet I have bought. I bought this tablet, used, here on eBay for right at $55.00 (free shipping.) I have to say that, that is a bargain price for this tablet. I'd say it easily performs as well as the Sony Xperia X (though smaller than that one for it's 10 inch display.) The IPS display is bright and the colors look great!. It has built in power saving apps but, I have not used them; (this tablet easily lasts a good 6 hours with a mail app, the Chrome browser wifi, Bluetooth and VUDU running. It is hampered by having only 1 GB of RAM but, it is rare, in the (~)two weeks that I have owned ... I can't say how well it does with the AT&T LTE 4G or 3G networks, (I don't use the data service, having a capable phone for places where WiFi is not available), but, it has good connectivity and good range for WiFi and BT. The Atom Z3530 CPU is pretty fast and does everything I want my tablet to do very well, with but one exception: I can't test this tablet's performance using Futuremark's 3D Mark benchmarking software for Android. I have found other tablets on the Futuremark hardware webpage (for Best Smartphones and Tablets) that have this CPU but, when I try to install the app on this tablet, I get a "not compatible with this device" installation error. A great tablet and, for under $60.00, one you don't want to pass up if you are on a budget. (I do have the nearly awesome ASUS ZenPad S8, with the Z3780 CPU, 64GB of NAND flash storage and 4GB of RAM, (bought onAmazon), yet, I still like this 7" MeMo Pad tablet, for what it can do, and how it can fit into my back pocket. (Why is the S8 Zen Pad "nearly awesome," you ask? Battery life is right at about 4 hours, less if you are gaming with it. Not so great for an otherwise really great tablet.)
