About this product

Product Information

One of Imagic's initial three offerings (along with Star Voyager and Trick Shot), Demon Attack is an excellent game in the ubiquitous "slide-and-shoot" genre. Players maneuver a laser cannon along the bottom of the screen, firing upward at waves of beautifully drawn and animated, bird-like alien creatures, some of which split in two (á la Phoenix). As with so many shooters of its type, the action can get repetitive, but no matter -- the game is fun, the enemies are incredibly varied, and the sound effects are solid. There are 10 game variations, including Tracer Shots, in which lasers move in conjunction with your ship, and two-player modes, in which gamers alternate shots.

  • Certainly one of the better Atari 2600 games.

This is a beautiful and fluid game on the 2600. Amazing considering the systems limitations. For what it's worth, I would say this version is far better than the Commodore 64 version.

Like Space Invaders but a bit more intense. Worth the money and in great condition.

  • Awesome vintage Atari game!

This was a game I've played as a very young child and it really stuck with me. I've been trying to find it again for over ten years and when I finally managed to get my hands on a working Atari 2600 I jumped at the occasion to buy this game again. I have no regrets and play it almost on a daily basis now!
