      Linux Compatible

      I have received DWA-160 on time, no delay. The one on the photo said v A2, the one I received was v B2. So far so good, I am using it for about week now. I got the speed 70-300 Mb/s "5GHz" with the router I have and at the school. I have no issue with WPA2 so far. The size of it may prevent me using the adjacent USB port, but as Linux works I am okay with the size. It worked with Centos 7 and ubuntu 14 and 16. Ker.3.10, 4.4, and 4.9.4.

      I JUST RECEIVED THIS D-LINK DWA-160 3 DAYS AGO AND JUST GAVE UP ON THE INSTALL. YOU RECEIVE NO INSTALL OR DRIVERS, NO DISK, THATS OKAY IF YOU HAVE THE MEANS TO DOWNLOAD THE INSTALL AND MANUAL AT THE D-LINK SITE. NO SUPPORT WHATSOEVER JUST A FORUM TO LOOK FOR SOLUTIONS. I STILL HAVEN'T GOT IT WORKING BECAUSE THE INSTALL WON'T FINISH. NO, I'M NOT A NOVICE WITH A PC. INSTALL WON'T FINISH EVEN IN A CLEAN BOOT, SAFE MODE. I HAD RESERVATION ON THE PURCHASE OF ANY D'LINK PRODUCT. COLLEAGUES OF MINE RECOMMENDED I NOT PURCHASE A D-LINK PRODUCT BUT I DID SO ONLY BECAUSE IT'S LISTED AS AN AC/N/G USB WIFI. SUPPORT SAY'S NO BUT AN 802.11n . DRIVERS DATE TO 7/27/2010 . FORUM POSTS SHOW THAT USERS ARE HAVING MUCH TROUBLES WITH THIS PRODUCT WITH NO HELP AND NO SOLUTIONS. BUY A NETGEAR OR A LINKSYS.

      Best adapter for the money

      Best USB wireless adapter I've owned. I have 5 of these now, including ones I use at work and each one has always been easy to install, work as they should and give no problems. This is the only adapter I'd consider buying.

      Cheap and works really good.

      As far as I am concerned, this adapter is just as good as the more expensive ones. Its a lot faster than my wireless repeater bridge.

      Does it all...

      Hard to review one of these. Ran the software, plugged it in. And it works. It's kinda big, so the three foot USB cord on the little docking station allows you to stash it out of sight. After using it for six months, it's been a perfect product without drama. I was using those little dongles before and they failed regularly. They felt hot when operating and I suspect the heat did them in. This one runs a lot cooler. Well worth the few extra dollars to me.
