Lightweight, Strong and Grippy!
As the saying goes, "Light, Strong, Cheap - pick two". This nearly fits the bill! It's a little pricey compared to the cheaper alternatives, but considering that this pedal is completely rebuild-able, and that the "Atlas" products are top of the line for Race Face, you can be sure that parts and support will be there for a long time. These pedals have another great feature that isn't talked about much in the reviews and forums: it's a true concave platform, and the axle does not protrude above the concave! All other "slim" platforms I've tried have the axle come up above the platform itself... and this causes a loss of traction, and that funny feeling under your foot. The Atlas pedal does not have these shortcomings. It's is truly flat (concave, even!) and it's reasonably thin, and ... As the saying goes, "Light, Strong, Cheap - pick two". Race Face Atlas Platform Pedals
If your looking for a lightweight, comfortable, durable and stylish pedals then these are in my opinion the best platform pedal on the cycling market today. The wide platform and pin placement allows the foot to stick optimizing drive force with comfort. Ive got these on three high end road bikes and actually prefer them to the clip-ons.

$$$! Yes, they are a little more than other pedals, actually, twice as much as some but with the said, they're worth 4 times of those other pedals that are half as much as these. Make sense? Well you'd have to ride these to understand. I've raced with these on cross country with a 29er hard tail with trail running shoes knowing I'd be running my bike up muddy hills on steep spots and my feet never felt like they'd slip off the bike. I have these pedals on every bike I own, a Niner Jet 9 RDO, Intense Hard Eddie and a Fisher Paragon that I made into a Frankenstein urban killer. Couple these platforms with some 5/10 Freeriders and you'll actually need to lift your foot off the pedal to move your foot, they stick to you like sweet honey!$$$! what you would expect
have not been riding these long. The quality is really good. they came with washers to enable the pins to be made shorter, which I like. the bed of the pedal is also large and comfortable. Only negative so fare, they are pretty expensive pedals
