Was looking for a really clear optic for my AR
I've got to say... I was looking for a good optic for my AR that was 1. CLEAR 2. INEXPENSIVE, AND 3. BUILT LIKE A BRICK SHIPHOUSE! The Truglo Triton 30mm ticked all three of the tic boxes. This scope is a little heavy, but its metal construction, and good coating make it very beefy and strong. It is when you look through the illuminated reticle is where you see that truglo is a step above the other plastic value priced reddots. My wife and I looked at a ton of reddots, she wears glasses, and I don't... and we looked at some holographic sights that were in the $419.99 to $529.00 range, and the circle around the dot just weren't crisp and clear for both of us... we looked at most of the lower priced reddots, and they were almost all blurry! We kept thinking it was us, and maybe we have a slight astigmatism, and after a trip to the eye doctor, found that she has a slight astigmatism in her other eye, and I do not. We took pictures of the reticle with our phones... Blurry! We rotated the reddots and the blurry, or "shadow" rotated with the scope, and wasn't our eyes... just a cheap, poorly made reddot. The Truglo Triton for us at least, was the absolute crispest, clearest, ring and dot we found!!!! Not a fan of the blue color reticle, but for me the green, and red reticle were the best in daylight and evening with lower light with three brightness settings. Overall... for under $120.00 I would recommend this reddot to anyone looking for a crisp reddot with 20" circle ring for there AR. Save your time, and frustration of buying a cheaper, lower quality reddot, only to find their dots ghosting, or being really bright on the emitter side and blurring the reticle. You won't get that with the Triton 30mm! The picatiny mount is easy, grabs and is strong enough for .223/5.56 easily. Good job with this one Truglo! Thankyou.

Good but not great
Pressure switch works but kind of gimmicky. There may be a use for it, but not for me yet. I’m using it to co witness my iron sights on a hi point 995. The 995 9mm is a great shooting carbine regardless of the haters. Fun to play with, with accessories. I’d love to run a box of 147 grain gold dots thru this thing, just to see what kind of yardage and accuracy I could get. Back to scope👇👇 At one hundred yards use the iron sights. The dot is bigger that the target. So it makes the target hard to spot. If you work with the red dot and iron sights and get it co-witnessed. You can shoot this thing upside down. Just put the dot on the target, and fire. Don’t worry about the sights. 85 yards & in its spot on with a 10” gong target. So for $38 used, great deal. Get it tightened down evenly. No ...
