Product Information

Get exceptional lighting in a lightweight package with the Olympus T20 flash unit. The unit is more compact and portable than the popular T32, T45, and F280 flashes, yet it still has great features and a durable build quality. It runs on two AA batteries, providing 120 to 500 flashes per set of batteries on TTL auto and normal auto modes. The powerful flash covers the picture area of a 35mm lens, and has a flash duration of 1/40,000 second to 1/1,000 second. When used in conjunction with the Olympus OM-2 camera, the T20 provides easy and precise flash photography, as the OM-2 controls all of the flash settings directly.

    Perfect

    This flash looks like it's brand spankin' NEW. I inserted batteries and fired it up. BINGO! My Olympus OM-1 has a flash. Not that I am going to take this out into the field anytime soon, but if I own a collector's piece, I want everything about it to work. I couldn't have asked for more.

    Flash unit incomplete

    The Olympus T20 flash came with a removable Control Panel on the back of the unit which allows for manual settings of the flash output with cameras such as the OM1, OR, it can be flipped over for "full automatic control by OM2" and certain other OM cameras. This flash unit dd not include the Control Panel. I cannot reconstruct the full original listing,but I am quite sure that it did not show that this panel was missing. Otherwise the flash IS very clean and appears to function as designed. I had a previous T20 that was damaged by leaking batteries. I hope that it is in a box of damaged OM equipment in my attic and will provide this missing part. I doubt if anyone families with the OM SLR system would consider a T20 to be complete without this control panel. The price was fair for ...

    A less expencive alternative for use as a slave flash

    I didn't get the flash for an old film camera, I purchace the T-20's to use as a slave flash. I can't say much about the T20 flash that hasn't been said before so I'll just tell you how it worked out. I have been using aftermarket slave flashes because of the cost of the digital/modern Olympus flashes. I can get the Olympus T-20's at a very reasonable cost so I decided to give them a try. I will be replacing all of my other non-Olympus slave flash units with these. I have several FL-50R and FL-36 flash units. The "R" is a remote flash that relys on seeing the flash off the camera. but I use a radio transmitter flash for my shots as I can't rely on the "line of sight" or up front placement a flash the FL-50R's require. I have found that a flash on the camera sometimes just can't give me the ...

    Nice little flash

    While it was designed to work seamlessly with the Olympus OM-2, this little flash can work automatically or manually with any brand of camera. It is powerful enough with a guide number of 20 (ISO 100, meters) or 66 (ISO 100, feet).
