I'm not an expert photographer. I had a scope to view wildlife from my kitchen window. I pulled out my old nikon d70. Must be 30 years old but still works and figured I'd buy a lens for it so I could take pics too. It's way better than the scope. I haven't used it with the converter yet. Like others said, it's a bit hard to stay on target because it's very bouncy. I might have to get a better tripod. Good deal for the price.

Have been experimenting. It really needs to be mounted on a very steady tripod due to the weight and length of the lens. The focal control is very limited also, so it is difficult getting a sharp image, unless the object is stationary. That being said, it is substantially cheaper than the much better lenses which are not affordable. My primary use is wildlife, so time will tell.

It's a really nice lens though I wish they would make them in such a way that automatic focus could be used. But this one really zooms in on things. I took some pictures of the moon that came out rather nice.

Price is right for what your getting and it is a solid lens. Do need a bright day so you can get enough light into lens.
